Why these five words? Why see this movie?: The story of Kosal Khiev was heartbreaking for me. Seeing how the art of spoken word allowed him to move beyond his street life affiliations is a sight to see. The film reminded me how art can save folks. His words are powerful as he speaks of being deported back to Cambodia, a country he did not know, after serving time in the prison systems of California. Khiev's performance at the cultural aspect of the 2012 London Olympics give the audience a sense of triumph for him. He has risen above his trials and tribulations. Watching his journey and hearing his spoken word is a testament to the human spirit.
