When I first began this journey "hoodnerdgirl" felt like the proper description of what I wanted to write about. I am a nerd girl from the hood. But as the stories progressed I realized that wasn't the most accurate description of who I am. I began to move from "hoodnerdgirl" to "Oblivious Nerd Girl" and now we are here on the Oblivious Nerd Girl 2.0.
Building this website reminded me that I have had some kind of home on the internet since I was in high school. Best Friend Jen pointed out that the color scheme reminded her of my high school website. I used an 8bit version of teal on some angelfire or geocities website with really awful html coding. It is out there somewhere with lots of links to random things. If I can find it that may be a story in itself!
What's to come on Oblivious Nerd Girl 2.0?
More stories from my Oblivious Nerd Girl childhood. More stories about my Oblivious Nerd Girl life now. I'm in the early stages of a feature component where I talk to folks who went to St. Genevieve with me and catch up on all the awesome and rad things they are doing now.
Thank you for reading these stories and for supporting Oblivious Nerd Girl. Enjoy Oblivious Nerd Girl 2.0!
